Showcasing local artists of various mediums, this FREE community event gives a platform to established artists to present and sell their craft.

Lou Vig will be back again this Sunday, October 8th playing under the colonnade outside of the Black Sheep Wine Bar located at 96 S San Marcos Place, Chandler AZ 85225.

The art walk will take place every other Sunday from 11 AM to 2 PM on the following dates: Sept. 24, Oct. 8, Oct. 22, and Nov. 5.
Come out and support the arts and the great Fall weather.

Biography

Lou Vig, a Jazz Guitarist whose professional career spans over five decades, has been described as “a combination of BB King and George Benson” by Electron Magazine. As a highly successful and sought-after backup guitarist, Lou has been privileged to share the stage with artists such as The Manhattans, The Drifters, Chuck Jackson, Melba Moore, Kathy Jordan Sharp, and the one and only, Joe Frazier.

Lou has also performed with The Pazant Brothers, formerly of The Lionel Hampton Orchestra, and The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. The New York native has toured the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean, and has appeared on many television shows including the popular music show, The Midnight Special.
Lou has appeared regularly at the legendary Manhattan night spot, The Cotton Club, where his playing has garnered recognition and respect from jazz and blues greats, Cab Calloway and Arthur Prysock. He has also appeared with Nat Aderly, Jr. and Melba Moore at the famous Iridium Jazz Club in NYC.

Lou Vig has always been recognized as a dynamic and versatile musician, receiving rave reviews by the Hollywood Reporter as an accompanying guitarist for Melba Moore.

Having relocated to Phoenix, Arizona, Lou is actively booking area dates. Recent appearances include the Phoenix Jazz Festival, Hotel Valley Ho (corporate event), and Ancala Country Club in Scottsdale.
